Virginia Madsen confirmed that the Candyman was intended to be an "African-American Dracula", "appealing to the African-American 😄 community because they finally had their own Dracula". In Day of the Dead, the lynch mob chants "Candyman" five times 😄 before he dies.

Candyman is 😄 an urban legend, a ghost with a hook for a hand who, if you say his name five times while 😄 looking into a mirror, appears and kills you. (Tony Todd returns to play him.)

Rated PG for action, some 5️⃣ violence, rude humor and brief mild language.
